I AM A DESIGNER BY TRAINING,
A CHANGE MAKER IN THE MAKING,
AND AN ARTIST AT HEART.
I am a designer and strategic thinker using my superpowers to develop experiences of connection, creativity and authenticity.
I have an MFA in Design for Social Innovation from the School of Visual Arts, in New York. In this program I was able to take my previous graphic and communications design training and combine it with my deep desire to do work that has a positive impact in society. At DSI I became a human centered designer, a systems thinker and a creative problem solver, with the tools to help solve some of today's biggest challenges.
Previously, I worked as a communication designer in Rio de Janeiro, in the city's growing art community. I was the designer at Huma Art Projects gallery and worked with João Sánchez at Estudio Baren, while researching print processes for my undergraduate thesis project.
I currently live, work and play in Rio, but I’m a traveller and explorer at heart. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, I have lived in Johannesburg, Hong Kong, Cardiff and New York, and am always looking for a new adventure!
I am interested in how creative practices can be used as tools for discovery and problem solving, at both personal, social and systemic levels.
I believe in the power of the individual as an agent of change and how infectious that can be.
I am in my essence an empathetic and passionate human being and am happiest when I'm connecting with others, helping them discover their passions and purpose, confront their fears and uncover their authentic selves.
In my free time you can find me dancing, exploring the city and making art. I am a huge animal lover and miss my dogs and cats everyday, so I'm always looking for pets to walk and play with. I love English bulldogs and have dreamed for years of having one to call my own!
I collect heroes and stories that inspire and challenge me to keep evolving and to believe in magic!
